ADMISSION and ENROLLMENT

There are no admission exams for the degree program, however no more than 150 new enrollments can be accepted for each academic year. Complete applications will be accepted on the basis of the order they are received.

Students may enroll in person or online from July 16, 2009 to October 6, 2009. Extensions, until December 31, 2009, may be granted for compelling reasons, with an extra payment of 52 Euros.

Types of admission

The admission procedure changes on the basis of your possible previous study experience at university:

  • Immatricolazione, for students without any previous experience at university
  • Nuova iscrizione, for students who were previously enrolled at university, but have left their programs or got their degrees
  • Trasferimento, for students who are currently enrolled in a degree program of another university
  • Passaggio di corso, for students who are currently enrolled in another degree program of the University of Urbino
For "immatricolazione" please follow the online procedure, while in all other cases please contact the registrar's office (+39 0722 305329).

Tuition

The tuition for the distance degree program for the 2009/2010 academic year will be billed into two installments:

  • First installment (to be paid at enrollment or renewal):
First-year enrollment: 1,213.00 Euros (Ersu Study Grant recipients may receive full refund)
Second-year enrollment: 1,207.00 Euros (Ersu Study Grant recipients pay only 20.00 Euros)
  • Second installment (to be paid by March 31, 2010) on the basis of income brackets:
    First bracket: 274.00 Euros
    Second bracket: 457.00 Euros
    Third bracket: 608.00 Euros
Students eligible for Ersu study grants: 0.00 Euros
Income brackets are computed on the basis of ISEE and ISPE self-certification (details) which students must submit every year by december 31. Students who do not submit their certification in time will be included in the third bracket by default.

Exemptions:

Winners of Ersu study grants are exempt from tuition (they pay only 20.00 Euros per year). Students eligible for Ersu study grants are exempt from the second installment.

Payment methods of the first installment:

Payments have to be made to the "Tesoreria dell'Universita' di Urbino 'Carlo Bo'" - Banca delle Marche - Urbino branch (IBAN: IT91 H060 5568 7000 0000 0013607). The receipt of the payment has to be handed out or sent to Segreteria Studenti di Scienze e Tecnologie (via Saffi, 2 - 06129 Urbino). Make sure the Applied Computer Science degree program code, 2238, appears on your deposit slip.

Enrolled students will receive the deposit slip (bank MAV) corresponding to the amount to pay. The MAV has no deposit receipt to hand out to Segreteria Studenti because Bank and University information systems automatically handle all deposits. Payments can be made at Banca delle Marche or at any bank counter without any additional charge. However, students have to keep their deposit receipt to show it in case it is required by Segreteria Studenti.

Payment methods of the second installment

Payments can be made at Banca delle Marche or at any bank counter without any additional charge. However, students have to keep their deposit receipt to show it in case it is required by Segreteria Studenti.

If MAV is not received in time, payments can be made to the "Tesoreria dell'Universita' di Urbino 'Carlo Bo'" at the Banca delle Marche - Urbino branch (IBAN: IT91 H060 5568 7000 0000 0013607). The receipt of the payment has to be handed out or sent to Segreteria Studenti di Scienze e Tecnologie (via Saffi, 2 06129 Urbino). Make sure the Applied Computer Science degree program code, 2238, appears on your payment.
